Social Committee

The Social Committee is responsible for making sure the group always feels like they are in a comfortable atmosphere and can communicate openly.  Like the other committees we are responsible for planning 4 events a year.  These events typically involve a fun social environment for young professionals to have a good time and meet other motivated individuals.

The business committee overall goal is to establish corporate sponsorships with current Minneapolis area businesses and recruit today’s leaders to an open forum atmosphere where they can provide helpful insight and answers to topics that pertain to professionals looking to make a foot print in today’s business world.

Julie has nearly 30 years of experience in marketing professional services for architecture, engineering and construction firms.  She is currently is Vice President and Director of Marketing for HGA Architects and Engineers, responsible for strategic marketing planning and brand management for the firm’s six offices located in Minneapolis and Rochester, Minnesota;  Milwaukee, Wisconsin;  and Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento, California.

minneapolis.jpgYoung Professionals of Minneapolis is a professional development organization designed to engage and introduce young professionals to the industry. Members gain access to prominent industry leaders and ambitious peers. The organization, helps to improve its members’ networking skills, expand their contact base, and provides the opportunity to promote themselves and their business in a relaxing atmosphere.

Young Professionals of Minneapolis is also a charity driven group, members will be involved in multiple events that will give back to the community of Minneapolis and ultimately have a positive impact to citizens of the state of Minnesota.

Once a month, YPM will host an event at premier places in Minneapolis. These social settings provide a comfortable atmosphere for establishing new personal or professional relationships, allowing young business people to interact socially, exchange ideas and share common interests. Business leaders, public officials and industry experts frequently speak at the events, providing them with tips on how to succeed in the business world and in life.
